Create a QR code that connects guests to your WiFi network instantly. No more typing long passwords — just scan and connect. Free, no login required.
What Is a WiFi QR Code?
A WiFi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type into a scannable barcode. When a guest scans it with their smartphone camera, they are immediately prompted to join your WiFi network — no typing required. It supports WPA, WPA2, WEP, and open (no password) networks.
Your WiFi password is encoded directly into the QR code image and is never sent to any server. All processing happens in your browser, so your credentials remain completely private.
Where to Use WiFi QR Codes
Restaurants & cafes — let customers connect without interrupting staff; place on tables, menus, and receipts
Hotels & Airbnbs — include in welcome packets, room info cards, or mounted frames near the router
Offices & coworking spaces — share guest WiFi in conference rooms and reception areas without printing passwords on whiteboards
Events & conferences — print on badges, programs, welcome signage, and projection slides
Retail stores — encourage dwell time by making it easy for shoppers to get online
Home — frame it near your router for easy access for visiting friends and family
Enter your Network Name (SSID) — the name of your WiFi network
Enter your WiFi Password
Select your Security Type (WPA/WPA2 is most common; choose "None" for open networks)
Your QR code generates instantly — download as PNG, SVG, or PDF
Print and display wherever guests need WiFi access
Tips & Best Practices
Use a dedicated guest network — create a separate guest WiFi (most routers support this) so guests cannot access your main network devices
Laminate your printout — a laminated WiFi QR code card lasts indefinitely and is easy to wipe clean
Update after changing passwords — if you change your WiFi password, generate a new QR code
Test on multiple phones — iOS Camera, Android Camera, and Google Lens all support WiFi QR codes natively
Print at minimum 3cm × 3cm — WiFi QR codes can be slightly denser than URL codes, so print larger for reliable scanning
WiFi QR Code FAQ
Is my WiFi password secure when using this generator?
Yes. Your WiFi credentials are encoded entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted to any server. The password is stored inside the QR code image itself, not on our systems.
Which phones support WiFi QR codes?
All modern iPhones (iOS 11+) and Android phones (Android 10+) can scan WiFi QR codes natively using the built-in camera app. Older Android devices may need Google Lens or a QR scanner app.
What security type should I select?
Choose WPA/WPA2 for most modern home and business routers. Select WEP only for older routers. Choose 'None' for open networks with no password.
Can I generate WiFi QR codes in bulk?
Yes. Use the Bulk tab to upload a CSV with multiple WiFi networks and generate QR codes for all locations at once. Download as a PDF or ZIP file.
